EMA stack pullback trend ride

Join established trends after shallow pullbacks into a stacked EMA band, when higher highs/lows remain intact.

Typical timeframe
H1–D1 · swings over sessions
Risk profile
Medium (late entries whipsaw)

Trend systems lose in chop and win during persistence regimes. Using two or three exponentials separates noise from curvature: shallow interactions with fast EMAs can be exits for mean-reverters but entries for continuation traders when slope and swing structure align.

This template assumes you explicitly define regime: trending vs balanced. Mixed weeks should reduce size globally before optimizing entries.

Execution checklist

  1. Require higher timeframe trend agreement (HH/HL for longs, inverse for shorts).
  2. Enter only after a corrective leg into the zone between fast and mid EMAs, not randomly on touches.
  3. Stop logically beyond the last swing invalidation—not a fixed pip cushion guess.
  4. Trail aggressively only once price distances from equilibrium; tighten when momentum fades.
